I Believe

I believe.

Two simple words that have infinite application.

For me, these two words have historically been a form of declaration. They have served to affirm my abilities, empower me to overcome my weaknesses, inspired me to act, and fostered hope and faith. It was my time in the Forest that helped me experience "belief" from another perspective.

I think it's fair to say that no matter how you package it, divorce is ugly. Among many other negative effects, divorce can devastate one's self esteem. The process left me feeling painfully devalued and scared about the future. In the Forest, I found what I needed to know . . . that others believed in me.

I believe in you.

Although the declaration was meant for an enchanted creature living in the Forest, this simple statement spoke to my heart and reminded me of my worth, my abilities, and my potential.
